Our dance performance on TV Africa (Sound Splash) in Ghana, 2008 with TimAfrik dance troup. We toured to various venues in Accra to perform the full show, this is a thoroughly condensed version to fit with the TV studios time slot. It was a great experience, we are hoping to go back in the not too distant future!

This beautiful weather reminds us of working in Greece with the lovely Louise Clark in August 2010! Fab times!

When you mention Youth Theatre an image usually pops into someone’s mind of a group of young adults getting together and putting on plays for a hobby. But for me the regular workshops I attended growing up taught me a lot more than just stage craft.

Fusion Youth Theatre offers a lot, for a little (financially). You just have to be hard working and like lots of fun! I remember the first project I was involved in was a fundraiser, and the build up, for the ‘Go to Ghana’ project. A group of young teenagers were getting together and raising the money they needed to go to Accra, Ghana, to study with a local group for two weeks and perform on Ghanian television. I remember going home and talking to my mum about it! A local theatre group, in Grimsby, were creating the funds to widen their own experience - if the opportunity’s not there, why not make it?!

And from then on I knew I wanted to be involved.

Five years later I can look back and see Fusion has taught me that:

If I put hard work into something then I (and the people around me) will reap the rewards.
That team work is essential with ANYTHING.
There’s never any harm in asking for help.
And most importantly do what makes you happy and you enjoy!
But don’t forget… Confidence is essential because if you slip up, slip up the way you thought it should be and take it all as experience!
